That's New To Me Weekly Challenge#16 hosted by Suzy Mosh.
Each week Suzy randomly selects a letter and you are to use a tangle that you have never tried before beginning with that letter. You can use more than one tangle. If you are new, here is the link: That's New to Me.
Thank you Suzy for this week's challenge.
The random letter for Week #16 is "R". True to the Zentangle Method, this was totally unplanned. I made my dots, drew the border (very lightly), and drew one line as my string. I selected New To Me tangles Reflections and Roel (pronounced Row-l). I did not pursue adding anymore tangles to this piece, as I felt that less was more.
Here is my entry for TNTM Challenge #16:
Tangles: Reflections & Roel
3.5 inch Zentangle tile
Tangles:
Reflections by Cheryl Craver
Roel by Judy Murphy
4/21/15 Diane & Carolien's Weekly Challenge #2 hosted by Diane Clancy & Carolien aka Zandipants: This week use tangles beginning with the letters D, E, & F. Your choice. Diane & Carolien's Weekly Challenge
The weather is finally getting a bit warmer 50 - 60 degrees F. Grass is finally growing and buds are appearing. In anticipation of warmer weather and blooming flowers, I chose organic tangles: Dragonair (Combo of Fescu and Cadent), D-Vine, Euca, Fescu & Flux. It still is a bit cooler than usual for this time of year, but I am grateful for it. Thank you Diane & Carolien for this week's challenge.
Here is my entry:
Tangles: Dragonair (variations), D-Vine, Euca, Fescu & Flux
3.5 inch square original Zentangle tile
Tangles:
Dragonair by Norma Burnell, CZT
D-Vine by Debbie Perdue, CZT
Euca by Anne Marks

4/24/15 Muster Mixer #5 hosted by Anya Lothrop, CZT: This month's challenge is to
use Ish & Luv-A either by:
1. Using a tangle in a tangle
2. Combining elements, or
3. Merging tangles
I found this to be a definite challenge. I struggled with combining or merging elements of Luv-A (my go to tangle) with Ish. I used a tangle in a tangle (Luv-A flowers in the circles), with a little merging on the borders. I may have to try this again. I am anxious to view all the other entries. Please note bottom of this page - I was able to purchase Anya's book here in the states. Of course, it is in German, but you can follow it and there is always google translator.

ReplyDeleteHi Suzy. Thank you. It is always a pleasure.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your tiles are so lovely - simple in a good way and filled with light!! Your Reflections is so cool and I will have to look up Roel :) Thank you for joining in on our challenge!! :) It is just amazing how you have blended from one tangle to the next ... and your Euca (which I love) looks magical on a curve!! I am going to learn from these :)
