TNTM# 14 & Other Challenges

I did not count, or space the Antique "leaves" so I was off by one.  But as "there are no mistakes", it is part of the design. :)  With the tangle Bumps, I tried to stay with the basic shape of Crosco.  Thank you Diane & Carolien for your challenge.

That's New To Me Weekly Challenge#14 hosted by Suzy Mosh.

Each week Suzy randomly selects a letter and you are to use a tangle that you have never tried beginning with that letter.  You can use more than one tangle.  If you are new here is the link:  That's New to Me.

Thank you Suzy for this week's challenge.

The random letter for Week #14 is "Q".  There are not too many tangles beginning with the letter "Q", but Suzy was kind enough to collect as many as she could and posted it to her Pinterest board.  It was time to use a Bijou tile again, so I used Quiltz (new to me) as a monotangle, framed by Flovine on a black tile.

Here is my first entry for Challenge #14:

3.5" square black tile, Bijou tile

Plakkaatverf Gouache used for Flovine

 (you cannot see it in the picture, but it has nice glow)

and Copic Gray to lightly shade Quiltz
