10/27/2015: Diane & Carolien's Weekly Challenge #29 hosted by Diane Clancy & Carolien aka Zandipants: This challenge is from October 21, 2015 and we are to use the tangles beginning with the letters U-N-D. Your choice of tangles, and/or add others as well. Here is the link: Diane & Carolien's Weekly Challenge
Thank you Diane & Carolien for this challenge.
I actually made it before the next post! I'm not late..yay...lol!
I chose tangles that were new to me and enjoyed each one. Interestingly, DICSO is a tangle that incorporates all five elemental strokes: dot, straight line, curved line, S shape, and orb or circle; hence the name. Refer to Tangle Patterns. I also used Uni (which I am calling mini Uni - since I drew it a little smaller than intended); also, I think it will work nicely on a pumpkin; and Narwal - great fun.
All tangles can be found at Tangle Patterns .
10/28/15: I just viewed some of the entries - wonderful. There were several tangles used that I never heard of - nice learning experience. If you haven't viewed some of the other entries, please do! PS: I am unable to leave comments on some of your sites - I apologize, but the tiles were fabulous.
Here is my entry for Diane & Carolien's Challenge: U-N-D
Tangles: Uni, Narwal and DICSO
Uni - Beth Snoderly
Narwal - Sam Taylor
DICSO - Mina Hsiao, CZT
The Diva Challenge #240: Birthday Leaves:
This challenge, October 20, 2015, is to "Be inspired by the season", whether it is spring, summer, fall or winter where you live...and....as per the Diva: "Just go where your heart takes you." Here is the link for more information: The Diva Challenge. Thank you Diva for this challenge.
I kept this simple. I drew these leaves (actual size; on the picture plane) over the summer. I transferred the image to a Zendala tile and used the tangle Leaflet, by Helen Williams. I wanted to use a leaf tangle for this challenge. (I am saving Oke for November). I did not fill in the background so that the leaves and Leaflet would stand out.
Here is my DC #240 entry:
Tangle: Leaflet; Leaflet variations
Tan Zendala tile; Brown Micron Pen;
Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils
Looking forward to seeing what you've done.
