The Diva Challenge. Thank you Diva for this challenge.
What a strange feeling! I usually post very late in the game, but as you can see, last week I had fun practicing this tangle.
So, I actually have something that I can post. Here is my entry for the Diva Challenge "Gourdgeous": A Narwal cornucopia with Gourdgeous and Sampson.
Narwal - Sam Taylor
Gourdgeous - Official Zentangle
Sampson - Official Zentangle
10/31/15 Diane & Carolien's Weekly Challenge #30 hosted by Diane Clancy & Carolien aka Zandipants: This challenge is to use the tangles beginning with the letters O - A C. Your choice of tangles, and/or add others as well. Here is the link: Diane & Carolien's Weekly Challenge
Thank you Diane & Carolien for this challenge.
For some reason I struggled with this one. I was trying to combine tangles (e.g. tangeleations - variations of a tangle; hybrid/tangos - combining tangles to form another). My first selection of tangles were Abundies, Camelia, Opus and then I added Oolo. I couldn't decide on a warped grid or free-form, so I did both. I was over-thinking it, so when I was working on the grid based tile, I had to just let go and pick up the pen and get to work. I am not sure how I feel about it, but here it is. But, in the spirit of Zentangle: "appreciate." The free-form ZIA was easier and Onomato was the logical choice with the combination of tangles.
Here are my ZIA entries:
Tangles: Oolo, Opus (basic), Abundies, Camelia
Zendala Tile
Tangles: Onomato, Opus (variation - basic), Abundies and Camelia
Stonehenge paper (cream)
Tangles:
Abundies - Hanny Waldburger, CZT
Camelia - Anne Marks
Onomato - Zentangle
Opus - Zentangle
I am looking forward to seeing what you've done.
Thank you for visiting.

I think both organic tiles are beautiful. The second one is my favorite; probably because it is 'loose'
ReplyDeleteYour Gourdgeous is...well...gorgeous! Did your white pen run out of ink like mine did when I practiced it? :-) I love your final free-form tile best of all, I think! It flows so beautifully, and your take on Camelia is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou did a beautiful job with Gordgeous! Love your ZIA entries as well.
ReplyDeleteLovely pieces. I particularly like the Gourdgeous with the web and the one with Narwal. Both really shinel in the round.
ReplyDeleteI love the spider web gourdgeous and the narwal one.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pieces!
ReplyDeleteYour Diva tile is fabulous. I love the narwal cornucopia...what a novel idea! And your gourdgeous gourds are truly gorgeous as well. Your other tiles are beautifully done as well, but I do think I like your last free form one better than the gridded one. Beautiful work; all of it!
ReplyDeleteDragonfly, your Diva is lovely!! Glad it worked out!! I thought the first O-A-C was very nice until I saw your 2nd one ... and that one is amazing!! Thank you for joining in!!
