I chose to revisit Mooka, Aquafleur and picked a new tangle (for me) - helen william's Morning Glories. I also wanted to revisit my soft pastels, which I have not used in quite some time, but they did not show up well in the scan.
Darkened the pastels a bit, then scanned again - still very difficult to see the subtle pink background and highlights inside Aquafleur. (I cannot make this any darker, it changed the whole look!)
Tangles:
Mooka, Aquafleur, Morning Glories and Kisses Butterfly? (helen williams)

If you visit, it would be nice to hear from you! Your comments are welcome and appreciated.

Love the subtle colours (I know what you mean about trying to get colour to reproduce properly). Love the morning glories,
ReplyDeleteThank you Kia. The Morning Glories were so much fun to do. Thanks for commenting, I value everyone's opinion.
DeleteSometimes (quite often to be honest) a scan doesn't show the colors in the right way, but ...... This tile of yours is beautiful and elegant.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Anne. Appreciate it.
DeleteBeautiful, so light and airy! I love the soft colors. I enjoy working with pastels but haven't tried them with tangling yet. I mostly use Prismacolor pencils or watercolor pencils. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThank you Minette, for visiting and your comments. I, too, use Prismacolor pencils, so it was a nice change to use pastels again.
DeleteThe subtle colors are a nice touch. Would they show up better if you took a picture with a camera and a strong overhead light? There are issues with whatever method you use. This is a very nice tile.
ReplyDeleteThank you Donald. It is nice to hear from you. Yes, using a camera might be the way to go. Will try later this week. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite nice even though the scan was not up to your expectations, I suspect there is real beauty in real life of the subtle Redux, Remix, Revisit of your tile. I loved my experiment with Blue Pastel and was the primary reason I voluntered to do the Diva Challenge #173. Great work! Sharla Hicks
ReplyDeleteSharla - I never expected this. How thoughtful of you to take the time to pay a visit. I love your work and this challenge has been inspiring. With appreciation...Nathalie
